Antimanic Effect of Lodopine

Abstract
This study was designed to investigate the antimanic effect of lodopine clinically. The number of subjects was 43 (22 male, 21 female patients with manic state). Maximum dose of lodopine for the treatment of manic symptoms was 129.65¡¾81.33§·/day
in the
total patients and almost all patients(N=39) were prescribed with mood stabilizers or the other kind of antipsychotics. Lodopine markedly improved manic symptoms in 48.8% and afforded at least slight improvement in 97.7%. The duration till
revealing
the clinical response was 17.33¡¾13.45 days. The most frequent side effects were sedation, dystonia, dry mouth, hypersalivation.

Overall the antimanic effect of lodopine might be reconfirmed.
